Stand Up and Shout
Pres. Mitchell reminds everyone that we are invited to the Stand Up and Shout event, Winnipesaukee Expo Center, Tuesday, March 30, 11:30a-1:30p, which will honor 25 high school students who excelled in volunteerism.

Annual Meeting
Pres. Warren Mitchell announced the nominating committee for this year's club elections: Chair Phil Bonafide, Paul Cotton, Don Nelson, Joe Adrignola, and Nancy Williams.

Be Our Guest
Pres. Warren Mitchell offered tickets from Deb Cotton for the Altrusa Club's Taste of the Lake Region, Winnipesaukee Expo Center, Sunday, April 4, 3p-6p, $20 per person.

Chair Joe Adrignola thanked those who participated in the Woodland Heights RIF program Wednesday last: Kathy Calvin, Joe Adrignola, Warren Mitchell, Shirley Glines, Chet Cilley, and Dianne Zawacki. We had enough books so that each student was able to take two.

Membership
Chair Joe Adrignola announced that we will be having a membership round-up at our regular meeting on Monday, April 19. This is an opportunity for everyone to bring in prospective members to check us out. The guest speaker will be Exec. Dir. Greg Goddard, Gunstock Recreation Area.

Chair Paul Cotton thanked the crew who worked Moto-Psycho Mania at Whittemore Center, U.N.H., last weekend: Paul Cotton, Warren Mitchell, Steve Loughlin, Larry Murphy, Jim and Arline Fortier, Chet and Grace Cilley, Roger and Pam Landry, Michael Bastraw, and Joe Adrignola. The next show will be in Portland, Maine, April 17 and 18.

Interclub
Pres. Warren Mitchell started taking names for an interclub to the Southern Carroll County Kiwanis, Skylight Dining at the high school in Wolfeboro, Thursday, April 22, 6p. Guest speakers will be Charlie St. Clair and Jennifer Anderson speaking on the history of Laconia Rally and Race Week. Motorcycles will be rolling, weather permitting.

The winners of the above came up with a dollar; Phil Bonafide for his son graduating medical school in May and going to work in pediatrics/cardiology at the Childrens' Hospital of Philadelphia; and Carroll Stafford for his new grandson.

This writer introduced Dir. Jennifer L. Landon, Division of Corporate and Community Education and Training, Center for Training & Business Development/Community Training, to the club. Her Manchester campus serves the Merrimack Valley and Seacoast Regions primarily. They offer credit and non-credit courses to individuals as well as larger business customers. ms.nhctc.edu. Sr. Member Bob Turner's creation of the Laconia Vocational-Technical College in 1967 was noted as well as the fact that his secretary was Jane (Wilson) Thibault.
