Treas. Chet Cilley reminded everyone that the Bike Rodeo will be Saturday, May 21, 10a-1:30p, in the former Brooks parking lot.

Club Election
Chair Michael Bastraw announced that the nominating committee--Paul Cotton, Phil Bonafide, Joe Adrignola, and Don Nelson--has compiled the following nominees: Joe Collie, Pres.-Elect; Jane Thibault, First Vice Pres.; Dianne Roberts, Second Vice Pres.; John Stow, Treasurer; Directors (four): Chet Cilley, Jim Fortier, Peter Karagianis, Warren Mitchell, and Nancy Williams. Pres. Paul Cotton asked for nominations from the floor; there were none. The election will be held at the Annual Meeting, Monday, May 2.

Chet Cilley had a buck for the birth of son Jeff's seven pound/six ounce daughter Melissa Addison and one for good luck for his granddaughter at Hitchcock Hospital being tested for diabetes.

Pres. Paul Cotton passed around a sign-up sheet for our next roadshow at the Keene Swap Meet, Sunday, May 1, 8a-5p. On board are Paul Cotton and Warren Mitchell for the whole day.

Guest Speaker
This writer introduced Belknap County Sheriff Dan Collis to the club. He presented photos from his trip to Japan where he participated in the Special Olympics' Law Enforcement Torch Run. Established in 1981, the Torch Run moves the official flame across country and countries to the various Olympic sites. This year, Sheriff Collis and other members of the Run bussed from town to town and would then carry the torch through well-attended streets. This event also acts as a fundraiser which has amassed $125 million. He also announced that their Protect and Serve fundraiser, at various state Irving stations, Saturday, May 28. Five cents from every gallon purchased will be donated to Special Olympics. Collis left us a donation envelope for our consideration. For more information go to
