Thanx
Past Pres. Joe Adrignola presented Ginny Barunas, hygienist with our dental program since 1995, with a certificate of appreciation and a gift certificate to the Stone House restaurant for her service to the club and the community. She remarked that the program was the "most outstanding part of [her] career." She has moved on to the private sector.

Guest Speaker
Dianne Roberts introduced Dr. Paul Racicot, Chief, ER and Ambulatory Services, Dr. James Bronson, Chief, Radiology Services, and Christopher Boothby, Community Affairs, LRGHealthcare, to the club. Chris Boothby pointed out that the hospital is in the middle of a fundraising challenge to raise money to help pay for a new CT (computer tomography) scanner. They have raised $450,000 to date and need another $550,000. Meredith Village Savings Bank will provide matching funds to any service club up to $10,000. Dr. Racicot explained that the relatively fast results of the CT are especially important in emergency situations and when dealing with young children. Dr. Bronson pointed out that the CT can scan any part or all of a body and visualize from any direction. For more information go to
lrgh.org.
