On Wednesday, August 31, Bob Selig, Library Board Chairman, conducted a special tour of the Laconia Library for President Paul Cotton, PP Nancy Williams and this writer.

The tour included a walk through of the new library annex (which is now open) and the old building (which is presently closed for renovations). Renovations on the old building are expected to be completed in October. Bob Selig suggests that members of the Laconia Kiwanis club mark their calendars for October 19th. On that date, the entire club is invited for a tour of the library, including the new Laconia Kiwanis Room.

Nancy Williams and Paul Cotton take a moment to display the Laconia Kiwanis Club charter while visiting the community meeting room in the lower level of the new addition. The community room temporarily houses the childrens' room as the Laconia Kiwanis childrens' room is presently under construction in the original section of the library.
