Pres. Phil Bonafide reports that our 3-day roadshow at Steeplegate Mall, Concord, last weekend netted $3895. Thanx to Michael Bastraw, Chet Cilley, John Grocki, Nate Robertson, Phil Bonafide, Bob Turner, Dianne Roberts, Joe Collie, Don and Sue Nelson, Jim and Arlene Fortier, Roger Ballantyne, and Jim Depoian for bringing in the big bucks. Our next roadshow opportunities are back at Steeplegate on Saturday, April 6 and the WLKZ Home Show, Winnipesaukee Expo Center, April 13/14. These two venues will only be possible if we get enough names on the sign-up sheet that will be going around Monday next.

Chair Joe Adrignola reports that our first Reading Is FUNdamental outings to Elm and Pleasant St. Schools were successful and...fun. The schools provided banners, balloons, cake, punch, and enthusiastic students who all went home with a new book. Stations included bookmark making, reading sessions, book stamping and distribution, and the Joe Collie autograph center. Our volunteers included Joe Adrignola, Nancy Parrott, Nate Robertson, Kathy Calvin, Chet Cilley, Don Nelson, John Grocki, Randy Eifert, Joe Collie, and Jackie Bonafide. Our next appearance will be at Woodland Heights School on Wednesday, March 27, from 9:30a-11:00a. On board are Joe Adrignola, Chet Cilley, Joe Collie, Nancy Parrott, Joanne Hansen, Paul Normandin, Nancy Williams, Michael Bastraw, and Kathy Calvin.

Dianne Roberts would like the club to consider donating some bike helmets to Woodland Heights School's proposed Health and Wellness Fair near the end of the month. The Boards will meet to decide the matter.Guest Speaker
Past Pres. Joe Adrignola introduced Exec. Dir. Alan Robichaud, Belknap County Citizen's Council on Children and Families, to the club. 46 years in the area and a former Laconia Key Club member, Robichaud was a graduate of the then-N.H. Vocational Technical College. The BCCCCF is the ultimate result of the Belknap County Community Justice group which adopted a program to provide appropriate diversionary services (modeled on an Oregon program) to the area. Robichaud presented a video outlining the development and goals of the organization. For information go to www.bccj.org.
