Making Committees Work
Immediate Past Pres. Phil Bonafide followed up last week's Suggestion Box item of getting our committees back to work with a print-out of the current assignments and encouraged Pres. Larry Murphy to follow-up a bit.

Guest Speaker
Steve Loughlin introduced Pres. Bill Johnson, Ozanam Place, to the club. His organization was established by a task force of human service providers concerned by the number of single parents living in poverty in Belknap County. In 1999, Ozanam Place was incorporated, a board of directors was established, and St. Vincent de Paul provided the seed money to develop the program. Ozanam Place is a traditional housing program that combines supportive services with a housing program that believes in placing homeless single parents in permanent housing as soon as possible. They provide housing to 14 families a year at scattered locations. The offer three programs: Supportive Services, Transitional, and After-Care.
