We received a request from Leonard D. Simmons, Jr. to be considered for Kiwanis International Trustee.

Special Olympics
The sign-up sheet for staffing the softball throw at the State Special Olympics, U.N.H., the beginning of June. Hopefully we can rally more than the two members who have signed up so far. We also still need someone to volunteer to chair the event.

Get Weller
Past Pres. Joe Adrignola reports that V.P. Larry Murphy returned home from the hospital Friday last and is "doing fine."

Bike Rodeo
Treas. Chet Cilley reports that 71 attended the Bike Rodeo Saturday last and that 51 helmets were given out. The winner of the raffle bicycle was 4-year-old Nicholas Oates of Belmont. 15 members and 3 Key Clubbers helped out.

Diamond Anniversary
The word has gone out far and wide about our 75th anniversary banquet, Saturday next, at Pheasant Ridge Country Club and Past Pres. Nancy Williams reports that we have over 80 signed up to appear. On the program is "What Kiwanis Means to Me" which will be an open mike format where anyone is welcome to answer the question for themselves. So think up something interesting to say. The ads are mostly in for the Anniversary Supplement. Expect publication within a month.

Steve Loughlin advises that our phantom sales crew at Laconia Savings Bank have taken in another $790 bringing the total to $2025.

Field Trip
13 of us met at the Belknap County House of Correction for our tour of the facility. Our guide was Sgt. Shirley Noyes, who was kind enough to come in on her day off. The two-hour tour included a detailed explanation of every facet of operation and visits to the intake area, identification processing/records, control room, property room, visitors areas, administrative offices, law library, holding cells, gymnasium, medical facility, and minimum/medium/maximum security areas. A nice place to visit, but...

Amending the Bylaws
Pres. Phil Bonafide has added amendments to our club's bylaws solicited from our membership. When the changes have been incorporated into the existing bylaws, it will be available for review online.
