Getting Our Props
Pres. Don and Sue Nelson will be attending The Salvation Army's annual Civic Luncheon at the Margate on Tuesday, May 22. Other members are encouraged to attend.

Welcome Aboard, Brattleboro
Saturday, June 15 will see the new Brattleboro, Vermont club celebrate it's Charter Night and we are invited. It will be held at American Legion Post #5 from 6:30p-9:00p; cost is #25 per person.

Foundation Meets
The annual meeting of the New England Foundation will start at 11:00a on Saturday, June 9 in Westboro, Mass. Our own Immediate Past Lt. Gov. Chet Cilley will be in attendance and we are allowed one other delegate.

Ring that Bell
Last week Sr. Member Peter Karagianis donated his $29 50/50 winnings to the club with the hope that it would be donated to the Belknap Mill with matching funds attached. $17 was collected from the members for a total of $46.

Meeting Not Cancelled
Pres. Don Nelson advises that we will be having a regular meeting on Monday, May 28--Memorial Day (observed)--as we've used up our annual allotment of two cancelled meetings.

Bike Rodeo
Chair Chet Cilley reports that we had 60-75 visitors come through the Rodeo Saturday last; 60 received helmets. The winner of the raffle bike was 10-year-old Allyson Woods of Laconia. She was the beneficiary of a helmet from last year's rodeo which came in handy when she had a bad spill on her bike. For helping out with the event, thanx go to Don Nelson, Joe Adrignola, Roger and Pam Landry, Warren Mitchell and grandson Ben, Kathy Calvin, Randy Eifert, Roger Ballantyne, Jim Depoine, Nancy Parrott, Michael Bastraw, Keyclubbers Chelsea Graham and Mike Audet, Cantin Chevrolet, Piche's, Klaus', Laconia Parks and Rec. Dept., and Laconia Water Works.

Win a Classic!
V.P. Phil Bonafide passed out the sign-up sheet for Saturday, May 26 on the Weirs Boardwalk. Shifts run 10a-2p and 2p-6p. Sunday, May 27 will be the raindate. He has also hammered out the Motorcycle Week schedule that will mean being on the boardwalk from Saturday, June 9 through Sunday, June 17. Be sure to set aside some time on your calendar as this will be our last big push before the drawing. Sr. Member Howard Bacon turned in $100 in sales, Past Pres. Nancy Williams $125, and Laconia Savings Bank chipped in another $705 bringing their total to $2445! All members should plan on having their tickets and/or money turned in by the end of the month. Pres. Don Nelson hinted that a decision should be made in the near future whether we will do another motorcycle raffle next year as this will affect what we do with our rental trailer. Chet Cilley has lined up a sided tent for the boardwalk as we will not have enough room to leave the trailer.

Food Trailer
The fee has been paid to reserve our space at Gilford Old Home Day. V.P. Larry Murphy will chair. No decision has been made on whether we will bring the trailer to Opechee on July 4.

50/50
Randy Eifert, $15 which he donated to the Belknap Mill in the club's name. Good kharma.

Immediate Past President Marty Hirschberg, tanned, rude, and rested, reaches in.

Sgt.@Arms Roger Landry found Ed Chertok, Randy Eifert, and Dick Breton pinless; Chet Cilley was tardy.

College; from Ed Chertok for being back; Chet Cilley for his son closing on a new house and moving out of his; Steve Loughlin for #2 son graduating; Roger Landry for his son making the Dean's List; and Nancy Williams for getting flowers on Mothers' Day from her local sons, Dan Fisher and John Grocki.

Kronikle Online
You may have noticed that this issue of the bulletin looks a little different (if you haven't by now, we may have a problem). Though the web-based edition has been going on for a couple months now, this issue is more of what I had in mind from the get-go. For members who chose to print these pages, most browser software will print without the black background and makes the white type print black. If you wish to conserve paper, just go to Page Setup under File on most computers and you can change the 100% value to something less to reduce all pages. Or you may save the page as a text file and print without the photos. Thanx to my partners-in-crime Steve Loughlin and Randy Eifert for their advice and continuous supply of pictures; my good friend/mentor George Lallas for his unyielding eye; and the feedback from other members who helped vet the redesign. We hope you like it. If not, you know where I am.

This writer eats dessert. (The photographer dared me to publish this.)
