Happy Dollars
Paul Cotton had two dollars for the trip he and his wife took
to the motorcycle rally in Sturges, South Dakota (while in Michigan,
he picked up a "Bonafide" coffee mug for our Immediate
Past Pres.); Warren Mitchell for the Cotton's getting out of
town successfully after a rough start; Ed Chertok for having
to listen to the above spin yarns; Phil Bonafide for getting
the coffee mug; Nancy Williams for son Andrew successfully relocating
to Florida; and Don Nelson for Nancy Williams becoming engaged.

Around the Lake
Past Pres. Phil Bonafide attended a meeting of the Wolfeboro
club Tuesday morning last. They have 42 members and meet twice
a week at the Wolfeboro Inn.

Steve Loughlin read a thank-you letter from scholarship recipient
Jennifer Upham who is going into her second year at Southern
New Hampshire University where she is pursuing a B.Sc.. in Business.
Interclub
Chair Warren Mitchell reminded those going to the Berlin club
for Tuesday, August 19 with a August 26 raindate are to meet
at the Gilford branch of Meredith Village Savings Bank at 3p.

Sr. Member Paul Normandin introduced son-in-law Lt. Brian Masterson,
U.S. Navy, to the club. He is presently a flight instructor in
Pensacola, Florida and has flown many types of missions including
maritime patrol, Antisubmarine Warfare and tracking, rescue,
armed reconnaisance, and drug interdiction. Two memorable incidents
were tracking a Russian submarine in the North Atlantic and helping
to seize $60 million of cocaine. In these operations he commands
a crew in a 4-turboprop aircraft that is decked out with a wide
array of electronic detection gear such as sonar buoys, magnetic

United Way Golf Tournament

The 16th Annual Lakes Region United
Way Golf Tournament,

Bank, is set this year for September 19th at Waukewan Golf Club.
It will be a 1:30 Shotgun, Scramble Format with many prizes to

This year, unlike prior years, the Golf Outing is going to be
held on the same day as the Kick-Off Luncheon for our Annual
