Old Home Day
Roger Landry reports that we netted $920 at Gilford Old Home
Day in no small measure due to the donations of members and the
help of the Contigianis. Between 11a and 2p 250 hot dogs and
200 hamburgers were dispatched. Thanx to Howard Bacon, Larry
Murphy, Bob Turner, Roger Webster, Roger Ballantyne, Ed Chertok,
Don and Sue Nelson, Warren and Janet Mitchell, and Roger and
Pam Landry for helping out.

Win a Classic!
Pres. Phil Bonafide announced that our first sales opportunity
for the motorcycle raffle will be the Grass Drags, October 26/27
at the airport.
Installation '02
Chair Nancy Williams reminds everyone that the Installation Dinner
has been moved to Monday, September 30, Pheasant Ridge Country
Club, cocktails at 6p. Our new Lt. Gov. Ruth of Div. 6 will be
on hand with a possible visit from Lt. Gov. Ken Georgevits.

advises that we will be returning to Woodland Heights Elementary,
Wednesday, October 16, 9:45a-11:00a, for another Reading Is Fundamental
session. The Reading Rocks Through the Ages theme is prehistoric
in nature.
Anniversary Invite
The Berlin Kiwanis Club is celebrating its 75th Anniversary on
Saturday, September 28th and the Laconia Kiwanis Club is invited.
Please make reservations with Glen Tassey (752-4322) by September
18th. Cost is $30 per person.

Membership Chair Nancy Williams presided over the induction of
our newest member, Jeff Cilley, sponsored by dad Treas. Chet
Cilley. Jeff, a sales rep. for Sprint, lives with wife Kellie
in Belmont. Pres. Phil Bonafide pointed out that his first job
as a new member is to recruit another member. Welcome to the
club.

Boards Matters
$409 was allocated for dental expenses; $45 to DARE; $2500 to
the Lakes Region Scholarship Foundation; $93.19 for club supplies;
$150 for our Motorcycle Rally and Race Week membership; $500
for Laconia High School Football helmets; and Charlie St. Clair
was given an eight-week leave of absence which expires on September
9.
