Pres. Larry Murphy reports we received a thank-you letter from
the Laconia Public Library for our recent donation.
Food Shack
Pres. Larry Murphy advises that he, Kathy and Patty Jeanne Calvin,
Chet Cilley, and Jim Fortier were on hand to help at the Key
Club Food Shack Friday last during the Laconia High Football
team's 55-13 victory.
Installation 2003
V.P. Warren Mitchell passed around a sign-up sheet again for
the Installation Dinner which will be held on Monday, September
29, at Pheasant Ridge Country Club. Division 6 Lt. Gov.-Elect
Dan Witham will be in attendance for the ceremonies. The Boards
has approved member reimbursement for the cost of the event if
a guest joins the club. Past Pres. Joe Adrignola also advises
that some of our service partners will be in attendance.

for our donation to Children of Peace. A patch for our banner
will follow.

Sr. Member Roger Webster will cover the $15 cost of any member
who wants to attend the installation dinner of his winter club
in Mesa, Arizona, on October 13

Chair Paul Cotton reports that our first raffle roadshow will
be the Grass Drags, Laconia Airport, October 25/26. The paperwork
is also in to the City of Laconia for our vendor's permit.

Sec.'y Kathy Calvin reports that, with the help of Hon. Member
Lew Ricciardello, a Lakes Region Housing youngster has a dental
appointment that will allow him to start school. Perhaps this
sort of situation may be addressed by the club in the future.

This writer introduced Exec. Dir. Michael Coughlin, Genesis Behavioral
Health, to the club. After the Community Mental Health Act was
passed in 1963, starting the release of many mentally impaired,
Genesis was established in 1966 to assist those entering our
community. Since then, much has been learned about many mental
health problems--including the fact that most have a physiological
basis which may be treated with medication. Genesis employs over
100 with 5 psychiatrists on staff and serve 2000 per year. One
of their goals is to identify and prevent the first psychotic
break while the victim is still young. For more information,

United Way Golf Tournament

Way Golf Tournament,

Bank, is set this year for September 19th at Waukewan Golf Club.
It will be a 1:30 Shotgun, Scramble Format with many prizes to

This year, unlike prior years, the Golf Outing is going to be
held on the same day as the Kick-Off Luncheon for our Annual
