Good-bye, V.P. John
by Pres. Phil Bonafide
The current Board of Directors met and accepted the resignation of John Grocki with regret as John is moving to Conn. On Motion made and seconded, it was voted to leave the office of Second Vice President (which John held) vacant for the next two weeks. The Board-Designate then met. On motion made and seconded, Joe Collie was nominated to run for the office of First Vice President for the coming year. The election will take place 9/23 at which time additional nominations may be made from the floor. The Board-Designate then accepted nominations to replace Joe Collie on the Board of Directors for the coming year. Joe Adrignola was nominated by motion made and seconded. The election will take place on 9/23 at which time additional nominations may be made from the floor.

That's the sound of an election coming.

Happy Dollars
The winners of the above chipped in a dollar; Charlie St. Clair came up with $2 for returning to the club and surviving his first workout at Gilford Hills; Joe Collie for Shannon being due Saturday last; Chet Cilley for finding tickets to Florida; and Steve Loughlin for internet watchdog Dick Breton finding that our domain registration had expired (he has since renewed it for two years so www.laconiakiwanis.com works again).

Chet and Jeff Cilley and Charlie St. Clair were tardy.
