Guest Speaker
Past Pres. Joe Adrignola introduced Exec. Dir. Margaret Franckhauser and Kristen Awrich from Community Health & Hospice. Over 25 years in business, this non-profit organization is now focusing on their Young Family programs which take the place of non-existent state health departments and other groups. The first key is to located children who cannot afford healthcare and provide preventative services. Many lower income families do not have support systems to provide basics such as transportation to a doctor. Their group now provides (through funding by our club) gas vouchers and bus coupons to help out. Shots for Tots (twice a month) is a good portal system to locate children at risk. This $12,000/year program is still a keeper for them even though the State of N.H. no longer contributes.
