ABOUT THIS SITE

The Laconia Kiwanis Club created this site to show our support for the Laconia Key Club.

The Laconia Key Club is a teen counterpart to the Laconia Kiwanis Club. First organized by the Class of 1949, the Laconia Key Club is a high school student run organization, which provides its members with opportunities to provide service, build character, and develop leadership.

Projects include donating money and service to various school and community needs. (SEE PICTURES BELOW)
For many decades, these projects have been supported, for the most part, through the monies raised by running the concession stand at Laconia High School home football games.

Now, after 60 years, the major source of monies generated by the Laconia Key Club, has been taken away by what appears to be a behind the scenes deal that warrants investigation by the Mayor, City Council, and City Manager.

You can follow the genesis and updates to this story by viewing the letters and news reports that will continue to be posted on this page.
