Dick Metz reminded the club that there will be a blood drive this Friday at the Belknap Mill from 9 am to 3 pm. Please roll up your sleeve and help out the blood drive if you can find the time Friday. Thanks in advance for your support.

Jim Fortier Update:
Joe Adrignola gave an update on Jim Fortier. Jim was released from the hospital over the weekend. He is going through physical therapy and seeing a visiting nurse. Joe said that he is doing remarkably better than earlier in the week and seems to be on the road to recovery. At this point, still no word on what caused his severe allergic reaction..........

Happy Dollars:
Warren Mitchell, Russ Beane, and Paul Cotton gave a happy dollar for winning the 50/50.
Paul Cotton gave a happy dollar because it is Debbie Cotton’s birthday. She’s working tonight.
Dianne Roberts gave a happy dollar because her youngest son graduated high school…on time. Well done!

The club collected $26 for the Food Pantry.Free Meal:
Roger Webster won the free meal. He did not give an acceptance speech.Board Meeting Minutes:
Kathy Calvin read the minutes of the board of director’s meeting from June 1, 2009. Some of the highlights:
* The minutes from the previous month’s meeting were approved.
* The club waived the treasurer’s report.
* $44.50 was approved to register the club’s trailer.
* $1,000 was approved for sponsorship of the petting zoo at Laconia Multicultural Market Day.
* The club denied the resignation of Joe Collie and instead extended a 60 day leave of absence.
* The club approved Bill Contardo as a new member.The meeting adjourned prior to 7:30 pm.
