Meet at Hospice:
First VP Dick reported members are invited to a special meeting on Thurday July 23rd at 5 pm to go over some new membership ideas. The meeting will be held in Pres. Brian Winslow's office at Community Health and Hospice on 780 North Main Street, Laconia. All members are welcome to come and offer their ideas. If you can’t make it, feel free to email your ideas to brian@laconiakiwanis.com.
Bacon bits...
Howard Bacon advised the membership that Roger Webster will be in the hospital on Tuesday July 14th to have one of his knees rebuilt. He will not be here next week. Roger Landry noted that it will be bad news for the nurses.
Warren Mitchell questioned "which knee?"...His right knee?... his left knee?... or his wee knee?Practice for President:Warren MitchellPractice for President:Warren Mitchelld Drive:
It pays to advertise:
Dick Metz noted that advertising on the Kiwanis website is a good source of advertising for a sponsor and, at $100 a year per ad, a good source of revenue for the club.Treas. Joe noted an influx of new ads helps sustain our general fund and encouraged additional sponsors.
Steve Loughlin thanked Dick Breton and his employer Wells Fargo Advisors for being our newest sponsor.

50 50:
Dan Feehily won $15.
Howard Bacon shows that size doesn't matter...all those tickets and he still didn't win.

Happy Dollars:
Six happy dollars were collected.
Dan Feehily donated a happy dollar for winning.
Kathy Calvin donated two happy dollars in appreciation for Joe Adrignola and Paul Normandin patronizing the Laconia High School Band car wash being held at Laconia High School every Saturday from 9 am to 1 pm through the end of August. Joe Adrignola came and got his car washed and Paul Normandin came and paid NOT to get his car washed.
Roger Landry had two happy dollars. The first because Dan Feehily came with Dick Metz, which meant Roger did not have to give Dick Metz a ride. The second buck was for Dan winning the 5050 because “he deserved to win” after having to ride with Dick.
Dick Metz had a happy dollar because, as he stated, “ I got to rub Mr. Clean’s head when I came in.”
He may be clean but he's not squeaky clean.
