Outgoing Officers
Past Lt. Gov. Chet Cilley acknowledged the work of the outgoing board members and thanked them for their time on the board. He then formally discharged them from office. They were: Jim Fortier, Peter Karagianis, Warren Mitchell, and Russ Beane.

Thanks!
Joe Collie thanked the outgoing board members and Treasurer Joe Adrignola and Secretary Kathy Calvin for their work during the past year. Also, the board members that are going into their second year were thanked. They are: Phil Bonafide, Dianne Zawacki, Don Nelson, and Paul Cotton.

Thanks, Paul!
While there was no President's Plaque for Joe Collie, Joe did have a plaque for Paul Cotton. Paul was given recognition for his years as head of the motorcycle raffle and the numerous efforts the club put forth with the money the raffle raised. A donation was made in Paul's name and he was inducted into the Kiwanis Leadership Foundation. A piano wood plaque indicating this was presented to Paul by Joe Collie.

Kiwanian of The Year
Last year's Ned Roberts' winner, Warren Mitchell, received his nameplate. The plate has been on the trophy for the last year, as Warren won in 2006. Warren then past the trophy on to this year's recipient: Chet Cilley! Chet does a great many things for the club, including the 4th of July celebration and the bike rodeo. In his own time, he is a referee of high school sports. Chet is also a Past Lt. Gov. Thanks for your hard work, Chet. Congratulations.

Out with the old...
Joe Collie made his farewell remarks, ending his two-year term as President. Joe said the work of club members on committees and in officer and director positions made it so that he really was nothing more than the emcee of the meeting each week. He said the work of the club made being President easy to the point where all he had to do was show up and host the meeting and run through the agenda each week. This was especially appreciated since Joe works an out of town job and has two very young children. Joe said that when the history of the club is written however, people will see the library payment, the day care center payment, and the club's 80th anniversary were all on his watch. Quote: "Timing is everything!"

In with the new...
Dianne Roberts was installed as club president. She said that the timing is right with one boy off to college and one at home now. She thanked the club for 10 years of friendship and she said she looks forward to the challenge ahead, now that we have decided not to do a motorcycle raffle this year. Dianne said she is confident that the club will find the right opportunities to make money and continue to serve the community the way we always have. She also said it was ironic that she become President the same day she was made Acting Director of Nursing at the Belknap County Nursing Home. Quoting Steve Loughlin: "Now you are watching 2 groups of old people."

Joe Collie applauds because he is now officially Past President.
