· They had 15 Key club members in the Breast Cancer Walk over the weekend.
· They recently participated in a homelessness awareness event where they slept outside in a cardboard box.
· They are currently getting ready for the Salvation Army Turkey Plunge and Operation Santa Clause (presents for underprivileged children).
News from the Prez...
President Dick reminded the club of Peter Karagianis’ 93rd birthday being celebrated at the Belknap Mill on Friday, November 6th. Tickets to the event are $50 each or $93 per couple.
President Dick also let us know that he made a trip to The Lodge at Belmont with Larry Murphy to meet with their new General Manager Kory Kamke. We have decided to allow The Lodge at Belmont to have a bulletin advertisement. They have also given us 10 days in January to raise money (These dates start on January 17th and would run on Wednesdays, Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays for 10 dates).

Secretary Kathy Calvin announced that on Thursday, November 5th we would be having another Kiwanis KARES event at Pleasant Street School from 11:05 to 12:05.She also mentioned the article in the Laconia Sun highlighting the last Kiwanis KARES event at Elm Street School.
Kathy will be distributing an email to the club about a Kiwanis Webinar currently being offered about “Refreshing Your Club” and she reminded us all that she is still selling raffle tickets to win a food basket ($5/ticket).

Senior Member Roger Webster announced that on Thursday, November 5th there will be a Blood Drive at LRGHealthcare between 3 – 7pm.
Phil Bonafide shared with us that Paul Normandin was unable to be at the meeting this evening but did have some business. Paul bumped in to Liza Levin and had such a good experience that he wanted to donate $50 through Kiwanis to D.A.R.E.

$1 from Roger Landry asking Dennis to show us his “Snow Blower Finger” a gentle reminder to be careful this winter during snow removal.

$2 from Key Clubbers Amy and Rene for the hospitality shown tonight at the Laconia Kiwanis Club meeting.
