Division 6 Lt. Gov. Bill Smith, from the Exeter Club, made a visit to the club. Bill introduced himself as a 20 year Kiwanian. He's been married for 30 years and has 3 children. His daughter is in London, his son is in Boston, and his "baby" is at college. His club was responsible for the Circle K program at UNH; a building club, and a Christmas club. He said his club meets for breakfast normally, but on the first Thursday of every month, they meet for a Chinese Dinner at Schezuan Taste in Exeter. He said it could be a good opportunity for an inter club. He also said at the last convention, in North Conway, there was useful information passed along about the Kiwanis International Foundation and it's purpose, also good publicity training, and an introduction to a program offered to many Key Clubs in which they collect soda can tabs for the Ronald McDonald House. Bill said he'd be back next quarter.
Lt Gov. Bill Smith is happy to be with the Laconia Kiwanis Club.
