Meet at Joe's:
A reminder to all that we will be meeting at One Mill Plaza in downtown Laconia in January and February and that our next meeting is Tuesday, January 2nd, 2007. Thank you.

Our compliments to the Chef!
The club presented gifts to Jim and Katherine Contagiani, thanking them for keeping us "fat and happy" for the last year. A special thanks to Katherine, who puts up with more from the club than Jim does. Lucky for us, she's a good sport...and a good cook.

The stocking hung by the fire with care...
Dick Metz told the club that the Belknap Mill is selling stockings for $100 each. It's a 50/50 raffle. A limit of 100 will be sold and a prize to the holder of the winning stocking of $5,000 will be awarded. Dick presented the club with a stocking...and if it is the winner, the club can keep the money! Thanks, Dick! By the way...if interested in purchasing a stocking for the raffle, see Dick. The club has number 34.

Photo Ops and Donations
The club presented two donations to area charities last week. Jim Fortier attended the Open House at the new Lakes Region Child Care Center and presented a check for $15,000. This constitutes the second installment on the club's $45,000 pledge. Joe Collie also presented a check last week to the WLNH Children's Auction. The auction this year raised more than $200,000. The club presented a check for $1,000 during the broadcast last Friday night.

Yankee Swap
A good time was had by all as the Yankee Swap got underway. Big Mouth Billy Bass made another appearance. He went home with Howard Bacon. Other highlights included Paul Cotton scoring a monogrammer for his golf balls and Carroll Stafford trying hard to give his bucket of mixed nuts away. Eventually they went home with Don Nelson. Merry Christmas!

Special thanks to Dianne Zawacki who captured some of the happy moments through the camera on her cell phone.
