From the President:
President Meredith recapped the Christmas tree sales program by Freedom Firs and offered the idea to consider not to participate next year due to the limited availability of members to assist at the lot.  Bill Gile stated that he was told this years sales should net the Club about $1,000 and we may want to reconsider once December approaches.

President Meredith also announced she has two volunteers to handle the gaming requirements this March: Phil Bonafide and Kathy Calvin.

Finally, Meredith reported on how good the day was when she accompanied several Key Club members to the Kiwanis Pediatric Trauma Institute (KPTI) at Tufts Floating Hospital last month.  The Key Clubbers in attendance were on the trip and came away very impressed.

From the Members:
Kathy Calvin briefed the Club on the success with the Salvation Army kettle in downtown Laconia. She reported that the Laconia Kiwanis Club collected the highest amount of money with donations exceeding $4,000.  Traditionally, the Rotary Club, who ring the bell on December 24th, havethe highest day for that kettle. However inclement weather and the Patriots game that afternoon kept the traffic down which helped our cause.  There were 11 100-dollar bills in our kettle, all anonymously given. TWO VIEW PICTURES OF SOME OF THOSE WHO RANG THE BELL, SCROLL DOWN THE PAGE.

Bill Gile announced that the Key Club will not be doing a Habitat trip in April after all, but several members are going to attend the District Convention to attend Leadership training.

Food Pantry: $50 was collected

Happy Dollars:

$1 from Bill Gile for having bragging rights with his Rotarian wife over our winning high kettle
$1 from Meredith Michaud for accompanying the Key Club on its Boston trip in December
$1 from Phil Bonafide for seeing his grandchildren this past weekend
$1 from Kathy Calvin for having her daughter home for Christmas
$1 from Dennis Denoncourt just for the heck of it
$1 from Larry Murphy due to the $100 donation he received at the kettle
$1 from Rosemary Murphy for seeing their 12-year old grandson over the holidays
$2 from Betty Ballantyne for her upcoming trip to Florida with her mom to visit family

Meeting adjourned at 7:32 p.m.
