Interclub:
On March 25th we will have an interclub at Indian Mound Golf Club in Ossipee with the North Conway and Dover Kiwanis Clubs. The cost is $15.00 per person. Please let Joe Collie know if you're interested

Call for help:
Kathy Calvin received an email from Former Lt. Gov. Sandy Blanchette from the Dover Kiwanis Club who asked Kathy to forward the message to other clubs in the division. Sandy asks if anyone can assist a family needing financial support in their efforts to help a sick child. To read the text of the message, "click" here.

 

Kiwanis KARES:
There are two Kiwanis KARES readings and distributions this month. The first one is at Pleasant Street School on March 5 in the morning. The second one is next week at Woodland Heights on March 11th from 9:45-11:15. Please check your schedules and your availability. Signed up so far:

Schedule reminder:
Please remember that next week we will be meeting and eating at Lou Ricciardiello's greenhouse in Gilford. If you care to carpool, please meet at the Pheasant Ridge Country Club by 5:50 pm. Also, we have received word from Lou that his property has recently been plowed and there is parking available for those who care to drive directly to his greenhouse. District Convention:
Lt. Governor Joe Collie will be attending the district governor's board meeting this Sunday in Mansfield, Massachusetts. This weekend is the mid-winter conference. Joe will be attending the Sunday meeting and will have an update for us when he is back at Kiwanis on March 16th.

Board Minutes:
Secretary Kathy Calvin read the board meeting minutes from the meeting of February 2nd. Some of the highlights include:
*The Charity fund was approved.
*The General fund was approved.
*A leave of absence was granted to Larry Murphy from 2/2 to 3/31.
*Approval was made to sponsor the Belmont/Gilford Youth Hockey League for $250.00
*Approval was made to donate $1,000 to the Laconia Key Club for their Africa Trip.
*Approval was made to make a donation to Community Health & Hospice in memory of Ed Chertok.
