Shannon Kelly is the Director of Public Relations and Marketing for Lakes Region Community Services (LRCS).  Recently LRCS was given the opportunity to receive the forestry building on North Main Street in Laconia through a competitive application process.  With the opportunity came the cost of many renovations.  LRCS will be funding the renovations by selling almost a million dollars in tax credits.  If successful, LRCS will receive 80% of the sales.  LRCS will be renting to the lakes region Boys and Girls Club at these new facilities.

Shannon showed the club two short movie clips describing some of the services that LRCS offers.    In addition Shannon made a presentation that explained what the Tax Credits were, how they worked, and how they could be beneficial to a business.  Shannon estimated that with the tax credit and the charitable gift deduction the cost of a donation is only about 11% to most businesses.
