Dinner:
Betty Ballantyne coordinated the delivery of delicious pizza from Lakeside Pizza and Roast Beef on Union Ave., accompanied with a fine salad and dessert cookie. Thank you Betty!!
From the President:
Bill Gile reported the Bike Safety Rodeo was a great success. Partnerships with the Elm Street School & PTO, the Laconia Police Department, and MC Cycle & Sport paid big dividends. A press release on the winner of our bicycle will be forthcoming.
Scroll to the bottom of this page for a pictorial summary of the Bike Safety Rodeo.
Bill also announced that our next regular meeting will be at the Firehouse on June 25 at 6 PM. We will be having a program by the Salvation Army. He also noted, we hope to have a program in July from the Boys and Girls Club, and a program on either The Belknap Mill or Wright Museum in August and September.
From the Members:
John Walker mentioned we still had some open slots for manning the concession stand, but not many, and he feels we are in good shape. See the updated schedule posted half way down this page.
John Walker then read some recent correspondence from the COO of the Kiwanis Children's Fund thanking us for our donation, last fall, and informing us that we were being awarded a Gold-Level Today Club master patch and certificate. This honor was bestowed on the Club because of the donation we made in the name of President Bill in the fall to the Children's Fund, which also cited and saluted Bill for his work with children. The patches will be affixed to our Club Banner.

Betty Ballantyne asked the membership for input regarding her planning for 10th and final Roger's Ride being held on Sunday, August 26th. She is looking for some brainstorming regarding a raffle prize that would be a good seller. While good discussion ensued, no final decision was made.
Food Pantry: $41 was collected
HAPPY DOLLARS:
$3 from Bill Gile: $1 for having the Nelsons back in town, $1 for Paula joining us tonight, and $1 for his church electing a new Senior Pastor this past Sunday
$1 from Steve Loughlin for Bill's church electing a new pastor that is a Kiwanian
$2 from Sue Nelson for her and Don's safe return to NH
$3 from Kathy Calvin for her husband being gone for the next three months to Montana and her chance to seriously upgrade her appliances at home
$2 from Larry Murphy because George Washington was on his dollar bill, and he is just generally happy Larry is happy, not George. George is dead, and probably not happy
