Win A Classic!
We are still trying to find the winner of the motorcycle: Dwight Jewett of Weymouth, Ma. The winning ticket was picked Sunday afternoon by Laconia Police Chief Tom Oetinger. The ticket had a Weymouth address and a Moultonboro, NH phone number. Three messages have been left in Moultonboro with no response yet. A certified letter has been sent to the Massachusetts address. At press time, we have not heard from the winner, so we sit and wait. Stay tuned....
Incidentially, the low ticket number of 330 could have been purchased early in the raffle, perhaps even at the Sandwich Fair, last Columbus Day weekend!

Financial Breakdown
Initial estimates by Treasurer Joe Adrignola indicate that the raffle netted about $19,000, which is about $5,000 down from last year, though last year we benefited by the winner taking the cash option and the bike selling later for more than the $15,000 cash prize. We were UP in Bike Week sales by about $1,000. Job well done for all involved.

Cotton...The Fabric of Our Club!
Phil Bonafide made special mention to Paul Cotton, who has chaired the raffle for the last 5 years. Under his direction, the raffle has generated nearly $100,000 for our charities. Paul handles registration at the shows, purchasing the bike, printing the tickets, setting up of most of the displays, and he works usually 2 shifts, at least, at each of the shows and about 30 shifts during Bike Week. His enthusiasm and dedication to the raffle is unmatched and the club is truly grateful for his efforts. Paul received a standing ovation at the meeting Monday night. Well done, Paul!

Not so fast...
Paul was quick to spread the thanks. He also thanked Warren Mitchell for his care of the trailer and his assistance with the raffle. He also thanked the club members that sold tickets, and most notably the spouses that give up their time and help us out throughout the year. Paul noted Sue Nelson, Arlene Fortier, Vi Adrignola, Pam Landry, Dan Zawacki, and Jackie Bonafide. Our success would not be possible without them.

The BIG Event!
The Boys and Girls Club "BIG EVENT" is scheduled for Saturday, June 30th. The club is invited to attend as the Teen Center officially becomes the Boys and Girls Club. Congratulations to Executive Director, and Kiwanian, Dianne Zawacki. On the list so far: Larry and Mrs. Murphy, Jim and Mrs. Fortier, Ed and Mrs. Merski, and Joe Collie. The dinner/tour/celebration runs from 5p-9p Saturday, June 30th at the Sacred Heart Hall in Laconia. Please attend and represent Kiwanis if you can.

Happy Birthday America!
The 4th of July is coming up fast! Chet Cilley reminds the club that we need walkers in the parade, which starts at 1pm on Garfield Street in Laconia. Also..any member who could help with parade organization that day...we could use you, too! The parade leaves Wyatt Park and works it's way up Main Street to Opechee Park. Chet says "it never rains on my parade.."

For SHE'S a jolly good fellow....
The club gave Dianne Roberts a round of applause on her being President next year. The official announcement came last week, but Dianne was on the boardwalk selling tickets. After the applause, the club promised to support Dianne next year.

Schedule reminder:
There will be a meeting next week; Monday, June 25th. There will be NO meeting the week after because of the 4th of July holiday. We will reconvene Monday, July 9th. Boards will meet and NISE money will be collected.
