Bike Week Update:
Here's a quick snapshot of the drawing on the scooters this past Sunday at the Weirs Beach Boardwalk.
Brian spins the ticket tub. Brian gets ready to draw the winner. The people in the "crowd" hold their breath. Brian announces the winner.
At tonight's meeting, President Brian reported he has been in contact Jim Kirouac and is currently arranging a pick-up. We estimate that we have made between $2,000 and $3,000. Thank you to all who helped out. Special recognition was given to Larry Murphy for all of the long hours he put in this past week.
Larry took a moment to share some highlights of the week including Roger Landry promising to deliver the scooters to Canada and how he spent 40 minutes laying on the Boardwalk Saturday night. Roger Landry also shared his favorite quote of the week (allegedly by Phil Bonafide) “every time I see a nice young girl with a dragon tattoo, I think sure it looks like a dragon now but in 40 years, it is going to look like a giraffe.”
Peter and Jim Update:
Joe Adrignola gave a brief update on members: Peter Karagianis and Jim Fortier. Both are said to be doing well. Peter is almost done with his physical therapy and is moving quicker than ever. Jim has recovered quite well from his last treatment of chemo. The club wishes them both a speedy recovery.
