Hey Kiwanis…THANKS!
We received a thank you from Ben Perkins, a scholarship winner. He said the $500 he received will go a long way in helping tackle some of the expenses he will face as he goes off to college. Good luck, Ben…and congratulations!

Fund Raiser:

Final deposit amounts will be calculated this week, but the early estimates show that the ATV Raffle made approx $1500 over the weekend as we sold tickets on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday for the 2nd weekend of Bike Week. Those who worked the weekend were: Kathy Calvin, Denise Dow, Warren Mitchell, Joe Adrignola and Vi Adrignola, Brian Winslow, Steve Loughlin, Jim Fortier, Ron Penn, Dick Metz, Ed Merski, Lori Dickson, and Howard Bacon. Combined with the first weekend, we made about $2,500 and have raised about $3,500 so far, which is almost half way to the breakeven point. The next big event is the Cheshire Fair the weekend of July 28th. A sign up sheet and schedule will be passed around starting next week.

Hats for sale…
Roger Landry informed the club that he has several Kiwanis hats for sale. They are a bargain at $7.50 each…but get ‘em while they’re hot! At press time, there are only 4 left!

50/50:
Ron Penn won $23. Congratulations!

Happy Dollars:

Brian Winslow has 2 happy dollars: one for the help of the raffle and one for NAPA sponsoring the raffle tickets. The last batch of 4,000 tickets came in from the printer. Ed Chertok gave a happy dollar because he sold his old Cadillac. Roger Landry gave 2 happy dollars because he did not have to work in the rain Sunday. Jim Fortier gave a happy dollar because he did not have to swim off the pier at The Weirs. Denise Dow gave a happy dollar because she is still on vacation. Dick Metz gave 2 happy dollars because he had a dream that Roger Landry was the AFLAC duck. Joe Collie gave a happy dollar because he was at Fenway Park Sunday to see the Red Sox win on NH day and the guy who sang God Bless America during the 7th inning was from Belmont, NH.

Mill Party:
Dick Metz informs the club that there is a party for kids at the Belknap Mill this weekend and it will be followed by a private cocktail party in the evening from 7-10. The event will serve as a fund raiser for the Belknap Mill.
