President John Brings Home the Bacon:
Although Howard Bacon could not be present to accept the special placque honoring him for his long time membership in the Laconia Kiwanis Club, President John was happy to personally deliver it to him at his home in the Taylor Community.
Howard Bacon, who has been a Kiwanian for 62 years, is presented with a special plaque from President John Walker.

FOR FUN:
The Laconia Kiwanis Club competed in the 4th annual Bowl-A-Thon held on September 23rd at Funspot in the Weirs. Proceeds from the event, which was hosted by fusion, benefited the Faith, Hope and Love Foundation and future fusion programs.
The Laconia Kiwanis Club team included Club members: Meredith Horton, Jeff Beane and Rob Reid as well as Tyler Kupetz and Scott Canning (who are friends of Rob).

Each of the 19 teams competing in the tournament bowled two games, which included one candlepin string and one 10-pin string.
Rob Reid was the high scorer for the Laconia Kiwanis Club team in the candlepin string while Jeff Beane was the high scorer for the team in the 10-pin string. Jeff’s 10-pin score of 167 was also the highest of all competitors in the Bowl-A-Thon.
